Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions are available for some ongoing medications. You may need to be checked at regular intervals to ensure your medication remains safe and effective.

You can request your prescription in two ways:

  1. Patient Portal – Manage My Health (Recommended)

This is the easiest, fastest, and most cost-effective way to request repeat prescriptions.

Use the portal for regular, stable medications.

 Important Information About Prescription Requests

  • Some medications require monitoring, such as blood pressure checks or blood tests, before they can be repeated.

  • Your doctor may request an appointment if a clinical review is overdue or if it is not safe to issue a repeat.

  • Antibiotics cannot be issued as repeats. A doctor’s consultation is always required.

  • All prescriptions are sent directly to your chosen pharmacy unless you request collection.

  • Please ensure your contact details are up to date in case we need to reach you.

  • Requests made after 4pm, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed the next working day.

  • To avoid running out of medications, please request repeats well in advance, especially during busy seasonal periods.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why do I need my own email?

For privacy and security, all patients aged 16 and above must have their own individual email address.

This ensures we can safely contact you with updates about your prescription.

2. How can I order a prescription for my children?

If your child is under 16, you can order their prescription through the Manage My Health (MMH) patient portal.

Instructions on how to request a child’s prescription are available inside the portal. If you prefer to order by email, you can use your own name and email address, just make sure to clearly state which child the prescription is for in the comments/message box.
